FlashVoca Privacy Policy
FlashVoca - French ("FlashVoca", "we", "us", or "our") helps users create and study custom French vocabulary flashcards. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, why it is used, and the choices available to users.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use FlashVoca.
Information We Collect And Process
Account Information
FlashVoca supports guest use and account sign-in. Depending on how you use the app, we may process anonymous Firebase user identifiers, Sign in with Apple identifiers, email addresses for linked email accounts, and authentication status needed to sync your vocabulary library.
Vocabulary And Study Content
FlashVoca stores vocabulary content you create or import, including vocabulary terms, definitions, example sentences, translations, custom collections, study state, and audio URLs associated with vocabulary or example sentences.
You should not enter sensitive personal information into vocabulary fields, pasted text, or images.
Images Used For Import
If you use image import, FlashVoca may upload the selected image to Firebase Storage so the backend can analyze it and extract vocabulary. The backend is designed to delete the source image after processing. If cleanup fails due to an error, the image may remain temporarily until routine backend or manual cleanup occurs.
AI Processing
FlashVoca uses backend services to turn pasted text or images into structured vocabulary flashcards. Your pasted text or uploaded image may be processed by Google AI services to generate vocabulary terms, definitions, example sentences, translations, and pronunciation-related content.
Audio Generation
FlashVoca uses text-to-speech services to generate pronunciation audio. Generated audio files may be stored in Firebase Storage and reused to reduce repeated processing.
Subscription Information
FlashVoca offers optional subscriptions through Apple in-app purchases. Apple processes payments. FlashVoca checks subscription entitlement status to unlock paid features.
Usage And Rate Limit Information
FlashVoca may store usage counters, such as AI import usage, to enforce fair use, prevent abuse, and manage service costs.
Device And Diagnostic Information
Apple, Firebase, or other platform services may provide diagnostic, crash, or technical information depending on your device settings and the services enabled in the app. We use this information to maintain app reliability and troubleshoot issues.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide vocabulary import, flashcard study, audio features, cloud sync, authentication, account-specific data protection, AI-generated content, free-tier and subscription access limits, abuse prevention, support, app security, and reliability improvements.
Third-Party Services
FlashVoca uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Cloud Functions, Google AI services, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, Apple StoreKit, and Sign in with Apple. These services process information according to their own privacy and security practices.
Data Storage And Security
FlashVoca stores user vocabulary data under user-specific Firebase records. We use Firebase security rules and authentication to restrict access to each user's own data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect user data.
Some generated vocabulary and audio data may be cached to improve performance and reduce repeated AI/audio generation costs. Avoid entering private or sensitive personal data into vocabulary content.
Account Deletion
FlashVoca provides in-app account deletion from the Profile screen. Deleting your account removes your Firebase account and triggers backend cleanup of known user data collections. Some shared cached generated content, such as globally reused audio or vocabulary cache entries, may not be deleted if it is no longer tied to your user account and is used to operate the service efficiently.

International Processing
FlashVoca uses cloud services that may process data in regions outside your country or region. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed where our service providers operate.
